The Case for Occupational Professional Practice and Scope Protection
In order to address the significant changes to the Health and Safety profession in the last two decades, the CRBOH formed a committee to address these issues. Today, there are multiple initiatives across Canada and elsewhere in the world to redefine the roles and responsibilities of various players in the field, and potentially achieving professional recognition via title protection. The Future of the Profession committee has a mandate to develop a strategy to ensure that Occupational Hygienists are recognized and heard in this debate, so the current level of worker and public health protection remains the same or is increased. As such, the committee is pleased to share this position paper with our members and strategic partners.
